dB Systems is in need of a Quality Assurance Specialist with IT experience to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be conducting inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D.

The QA Specialist will primarily conduct product inspections, support production, and assist as necessary to fulfil the QMS goals and objectives. The specialist will provide support and direction to manufacturing personnel regarding quality and compliance issues and will be responsible for maintaining an effective and compliant Quality Management System (QMS). The QA Specialist will also assist with the maintenance of the inventory system and/or processes that deliver product conformance and customer satisfaction.

Our typical business hours are 9/80s. Meaning, Monday - Thursday are nine (9) hour days and Fridays are eight (8) hour days with every other Friday off. We offer flexible scheduling during the daytime hours with a thirty-minute to one-hour lunch. As a government contractor, we require all employees to pass a pre-employment drug screening who thereafter are subject to random drug screenings while on the job. This position requires full-time work with an average of 40 hours per week.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Supports maintenance and improvement of a QMS appropriate for the functions performed by our company, communicates the importance of an effective and compliant Quality System to all employees, and supports collection of quality metrics that allow assessment of QMS effectiveness.
• Responsible for managing complaint intake process in an accurate, professional, and timely manner, including review of intake records for accuracy/completeness, escalation to manufacturing partners, and update to complaint files and customers as necessary, based on information provided by manufacturing partners
• Conducts incoming receiving inspections and drafts rejection reports when necessary, determines the need for and coordinates necessary investigations, documents in complaint files, and provides periodic reporting to manufacturing partners in a professional manner
• Conducts inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure a quality product ships
• Supports key quality processes including supplier management, quality training, document control, and others as assigned
• Supports internal, external, and third-party audits
• Occasional administrative duties such as completing required surveys and scheduling
• Set up inventory software on computers and create user accounts for new employees
• Assumes and performs other duties as assigned
• Working occasional evenings and/or weekends, plus overtime, may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject (Engineering, Technical Writing, etc.) highly preferred but will consider adequate experience to substitute the education
• 5 to 9 years of Quality Assurance experience
• 1 to 4 years of IT troubleshooting experience
• Familiar with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D quality system standards.
