Driver Coordinator – 2nd/ 3rd Shift

Our client, a well-established, fast-paced distribution company, is seeking an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented Driver Coordinator to join their transportation and warehouse teams.
The successful candidate must be highly motivated to learn new software and be cross trained in multiple disciplines within the organization’s warehouse and transportation divisions.
* Monday – Friday: Either a 11pm-7am or 2pm-3pm-11pm shift needs to work for qualified candidates. Especially Friday nights
General Qualifications:
2 years experience in transportation / warehouse environment is required, preferably in a lead role
Knowledge of DOT regulations is highly preferred
Previous daily use of Microsoft office software and warehouse and/or dispatching management systems
Ability to focus on positive customer service and a constructive productive work environment
Strong organizational, trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Must be in good physical shape with the ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 30lbs unassisted throughout the day
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, twist, and lift continuously throughout the day
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
Overview of Responsibilities:
Dispatch paperwork, two-wheel carts, and route keys to all drivers daily
Track Regional Drivers during shifts and communicate information to various departments
Assist in logging accidents, incidents, and repairs; ensure all information is gathered per company and DOT regulations
Responsible for informing the company of any call offs, late drivers, or breakdowns so customers can be notified
Communicating with delivery drivers and warehouse workers daily
Daily use of Warehouse Management System to properly skid and load delivery trucks and distribute documentation to proper personnel
Review daily delivery route schedules, prepare driver packets, and update departure times/stops/pickups confirming drivers and trucks are correct
Find replacement drivers as needed using the on-call list
Print invoices from the software system and organize all paperwork by route for delivery drivers
Perform any additional responsibilities and duties as assigned
Cross Training Duties:
Properly pick and pack orders from inventory and load trucks
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Resolve any order, shipment, or inventory discrepancies
Schedule / Benefit Overview:
- Hourly position based on related experience level
