Field Service Mechanic Heavy Duty Construction EquipmentCompany based in Martinsburg, WV region (working in PA WV, VA, and MD)Our Client, a well-established underground utility construction company, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and self-motivated Field Service Mechanic to join their team.This individual will travel to companys construction sites to maintain and repair construction equipment and vehicles throughout PA, WV, VA, and MD.QualificationsPrevious experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment and heavy-duty trucks is requiredValid CDL Class A Drivers license with clean Motor Vehicle Record per companys insurance standardsMust possess exceptional trouble shooting abilitiesAbility to travel with a company service vehicle to project location daily and / or stay out of town when necessary.Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various gas and diesel enginesGood understanding of DOT regulations regarding maintenance practicesAdvanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of toolsBasic computer skillsAble to stand, kneel, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. unassistedResponsibilitiesInspect, maintain, repair, and test heavy duty equipment and company vehicles such as trucks, trailers, bulldozers, graders, excavators and other equipmentUtilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure optimal equipment performance while adhering to safety regulationsKeep accurate paperwork completed of all repairs and servicesSchedule and Benefit OverviewHourly position. Wage based on experienceTypically schedule Monday - Friday & occasional weekends.
Staying out of town when the project requires it. Company pays lodging if out of townOvertime and 5 days required at times. Must work overtime hours when requiredMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance coverage is available after 90 days of service
