Job Summary:
This position maintains the clubhouse, supplies and facilities for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Visiting Clubhouse. Manages all visiting clubhouse services and provides for needs of visiting players, staff and coaches.
Essential Functions:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Visiting Clubhouse Manager to provide excellent customer service to our visiting players. Visiting Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the visiting clubhouse. The Clubhouse Manager will be responsible for fulfilling team needs including laundry, uniform inventory and maintenance, clubhouse appearance and cleanliness, player meal coordination and equipment inventory and management. The Clubhouse Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for training any hourly clubhouse staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and safe clubhouse and umpire’s locker room at all times.
- General clubhouse maintenance and security.
- Provide various services to players, coaches, trainers, umpires and managers. These duties include, but are not limited to
- Team and umpire laundry daily
- Coordinate set up of pre-game and post-game meals/snacks for team.
- Maintain and replenish supplies in the clubhouse daily.
- Load and unload team bus prior to and after road trips including unloading of all bags upon arrival.
- Respond to additional needs of manager, coaches, trainer, and players as appropriate.
- Provide shipping as needed for equipment.
- Act as a point of contact for front office staff and visiting team in regard to the needs of the organization. Serve as liaison between teams and Rumble Ponies front office staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work long hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available for all Binghamton Rumble Ponies Home Games
- Must be able to finish tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be able to operate successfully in a fast-paced professional sports environment
- Candidates must be able to interact professionally with Front Office Members, Players, Coaches, and Umpires
- Candidates must have housing and transportation available to them at their own expense
- Previous Clubhouse experience is a plus
General Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60lbs up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand for up to 5 hours during a game
- Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, humidity and heat
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time, seasonal position, and hours of work and days will be scheduled around the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Home schedule. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
