What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Highway Maintenance Technician position at DBI SERVICES?
JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible to perform general maintenance of the highway maintenance project assigned in Starke, FL. This position services all of Bradford County.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Cleans and grades ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopes
- Repair work including, but not limited to, repair of fences, sign repair, litter debris removal, and other highway maintenance activities to include emergency response
- Landscaping related work as needed, including but not limited to mowing, weed eating, and leaf blowing
- Use all equipment safely
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Reliable transportation to and from Company office
- Be able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.)
- Be able to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed
- Highway maintenance or construction skills are preferred
- MOT Certificate preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather patterns
