What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Highway Maintenance Technician position at DBI SERVICES?
Job Summary
The position is responsible to perform general maintenance of the highway project. A $1500 Sign On Bonus will be awarded to applicants who are hired.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Loading Unloading of Truck with any material such as Stone, Emulsion etc.
- Repair work including, but not limited to, repair of truck, equipment, other.
- Use all equipment safely.
- Do truck inspections (responsible for truck / emulsion and stone delivery system maintenance and repairs)
- Have all needed tools and equipment on board, including repair kits for on the road repairs
- Have all proper paperwork, MSDS sheets, labels, etc.
- Have all proper safety items, such as vests, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
- Make sure all minor repairs are made
- Make sure all equipment is in working order.
- Make sure all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines
Minimum Requirements
- Commercial Driver's License A or B
- Must have valid driver's license with no DUI's, and clean driving record
- Be able to comply with company drug and alcohol policy
- Be able to work overtime and varied hours
- Some travel may be required
