What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician Journeyman position at DBI SERVICES?
Primary Responsibilities
Various work orders that this person would be expected to work on would be repairs, maintenance or preventative maintenance on electrical systems on bridges and facilities. This position also entails a labor aspect to duties. Including pressure washing, debris/trash removal, and painting.
Other responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
- Take responsibility for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems in construction environment
- Continually participate in ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit and personal job mastery
- Repair of highway, bridge and facility electrical components within code
- Assist with other roadway maintenance activities that may not be of an electrical nature
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years electrical experience in a construction environment
- Virginia Electrical Journeyman License
- Valid driver's license
- Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment
- Experience working with PLC’s, VFD’s, DC motors and DC digital drive controls
- Obtain a basic and/or intermediate MOT certification
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical schooling preferred
