What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at DBI SERVICES?
JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible to perform general maintenance of the highway maintenance project assigned.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Mows stretches of right-of-way, medians and ramp areas
- Operates mid-size tractor with a batwing mower or skid steer with a bush hog attachment.
- Uses all equipment safely
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- CDL preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from Company office
- Ability to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 – 60 lbs.)
- Ability to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Ability to work overtime, nights and weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather patterns
- Highway maintenance or construction skills preferred
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to travel several weeks at a time, required
