What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guardrail Technician position at DBI SERVICES?
The Guardrail Technician will work out of our Flagler, Florida office and will report to the crew leader on a daily basis to fulfill work orders and perform preventative maintenance.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing guardrails along highways and interstate
• Dismantling and resetting wooden and metal guardrail posts, and guardrail beams.
• Installation or repair of cable barriers, cables, crash cushion attenuators, and other appurtenances using hand tools and power tools
• Load and unload materials from truck and equipment maintenance
• May conduct Maintenance of Traffic and Incident response. To include debris clean up, and law enforcement and first-responder collaboration
• Driving various vehicles and operating a variety of access equipment and tools
• Performs other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to and from Company office
• Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed
• Candidates must be able to respond to emergency scenarios and work unusual/unscheduled work shifts that will or may require availability on days, nights, holidays, weekends, etc.
