What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at DBI SERVICES?
Primary Responsibilities
DBI Services is looking for a laborer to assist with our roadway and highway maintenance project. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: debris patrol and removal, litter removal and tree trimming.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Digs ditches.
• Removes litter and debris from the side of the road.
• Minor roadway repair and maintenance
• Drives truck to transport crew and equipment to work site.
• Drives tractor with mower attachment to cut grass around highway and trims trees.
• Assists motorists on side of road on occasion.
• Accident repair and clean-up
• Supports project emergency operations
Both elements of the position will be exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Ability to respond to emergency calls
• Required to lift 60 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work while exposed to outside inclement weather conditions such as winter cold or summer heat
• Valid drivers license
• Available to work a variety of hours, which include Monday through Friday evenings, weekends, on-call and extended shifts when necessary
