What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Technician position at DBI SERVICES?
JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible to perform general maintenance of the highway maintenance project assigned as a Lead, with assignments including but not limited to:
- Assist motorist with first aid at crash scenes
- Review Maintenance Technician crew reports
- Assist Maintenance technicians in the dissemination of training information
- Provide and assist with detecting performance deficiencies of operators
- Monitor safety and make recommendations regarding needed changes and improvements of field operations while working within the guidelines and directives set forth by the FHWA Field Operation Guide and company contract
- Assist with the interview, hiring, and training process and documentation
- Oversee the installing, removing and modifying guardrail along highways and roads in compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Oversee crew in the process of layout, install and dismantle of guardrail as required
- Ensures that Technicians attend daily safety meetings and reviews crew sheets for accuracy.
- Experience in erect, install, or repairs of guardrail, cable barrier, post and cable, crash cushion attenuators, and other appurtenances using hand tools and power tools.
- Load and remove materials from truck and equipment maintenance
- Production report and work complete form
- Skid Steer operation
- Complying with all OSHA, DOT and DBi Services Safety Policies
- Experience with Traffic control plan and placing MOT devices along with guardrail installation
- Any other duties assigned
