Assistant General Manager – Corso Italian Steak

Our team is passionate about hospitality, and we are looking for a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our operations and uphold our standards of excellence.
Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager (GM) in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff performance, and driving financial success. The AGM will play a critical role in maintaining a strong team culture, optimizing efficiency, and delivering outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, and develop front-of-house (FOH) teams to meet performance and hospitality standards.
- Support hiring, scheduling, and staff management to maintain a well-balanced and motivated team.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and cost of goods sold (COGS), working toward company benchmarks
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.
- Lead by example in providing an exceptional guest experience, handling guest inquiries and resolving service issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the GM to develop and execute operational strategies that enhance profitability and service standards.
- Assist with inventory management, vendor relations, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Experience with financial reporting, labor management, and cost control practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges proactively.
- Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and restaurant management tools (experience with Toast POS is a plus).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
