- Design fixtures, gages, and tooling to support the manufacturing process for aerospace hardware.
- Utilize Siemens NX to create tooling designs and blueprints.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team on project development and investigations related to tooling.
- Assess tooling builds for internal production or outsourcing to tooling vendors; interact with tooling vendors as needed.
- Work closely with the manufacturing engineering team to incorporate design changes or specifications.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, adhering to safe work practices.
- Implement measures to reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase throughput for both new and existing processes.
- Maintain tooling blueprint storage location in compliance with customer policies and procedures.
- Provide support on the shop floor.
- Assist in the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or quality environment; or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in such fields; or in lieu of a degree, 6 or more years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in cross-functional project work.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling/drafting software, with preference given to experience with Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as access to information under this program/contract is restricted to U.S. citizens.
- Experience with Siemens NX, ASME Y14.5, GD&T, Machining fixtures, inspection fixtures, Designing machining tools
- Additive Manufacturing experience(preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience as a tool designer.
- Ability to apply and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
