Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, etc., to complete excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and site layouts.
- Conduct site preparation, excavation, backfilling, grading, and utilities work as required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Daily maintenance tasks such as fueling, checking fluids, and cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for Hazardous Materials and Tanker is a plus.
- Carpentry experience is a plus.
- Clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
- Ownership of specific tools: 3/8" to 1" socket set and wrenches.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Experience in excavation, grading, pipe laying, and site utilities.
- Proficient in the use of grade-checking equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to tackle new challenges.
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug and background screenings.
