Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Chemist to join our R&D team and work closely with Senior Chemists to formulate skincare products. In this role, you will help make product batches, test and troubleshoot products, research and request raw materials, and ensure all work follows cGMP standards. You’ll also assist with lab equipment calibration, prepare required paperwork, and support the scale-up and manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Work with Senior Chemist to formulate various skin care products
- Make batches, research and request raw materials, test skin care products and troubleshoot under supervision
- Adhere to a cGMP environment, document and follow lab procedures with attention to detail
- Prepare all required paperwork
- Attend cosmetic seminars and meetings
- Request, test and release new raw material samples
- Calibrate Lab Equipment as needed
- Assist team members as needed
- Assist in scale up and production manufacturing
- Perform other activities as required
- 0-3 years of formulation experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Knowledge of basic science laboratory equipment
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Attention to detail and project management skills
- Ability to work in team environment and independently
