Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for all financial functionalities including client invoicing, vendor payment, T&E employee reimbursements, prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and trouble shoot unreconciled items
- Assist in preparing financial results to parent company
- Engage in revenue transactions and prepare reports to the parent company
- Assist in month, quarter, and year end closing
- Assist in financial statement audits with external auditors
- Concur invoice review and initial approval
- T&E review to comply with company guidelines and schedule payments
- Assist in generating invoices for clients
- Communication across different departments to prepare various expense reports
- New hire and intern training related to T&E policy
- Tax preparation and filing including 1099s
Qualified candidates should have:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably from public accounting
- Knowledge and experience in revenue, AR and AP modules, experience with JD Edwards (JDE) preferred
- Experience in general bookkeeping and account receivable/or account payable
- Proficiency in MS office, advance proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills with the ability professionally interface with bankers, vendors, (email and/or phone)
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skill
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Please note, this role will require an onsite presence (in office Monday-Thursday, ability to work from home on Friday) and can be based in either New York or Chicago.
