Dc Way is a fast-growing soccer academy based on Capitol Hill. We are looking to hire a motivated and professional individual to fulfill the position of travel team assistant coach and who can help assist a travel academy soccer team. Coaches will also have the opportunity to work in various programs within DC Way such as after-school, soccer camps, etc if they desire.
We are looking for two passionate and dedicated soccer coaches to join our team for the U8/U13 girls' winter season. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching youth teams, with a strong focus on skill development, teamwork, and creating a positive learning environment. We are also open to offering full-time positions for the right candidates who are looking for long-term involvement with the club.(toti@dcwayacademy.org)

Our teams play in Metro Community League, MSI, EDP Futures, EDP Premier and EDP Championship leagues.
Our coach is expected to commit to a minimum 2-3 nighttime weekday practices a week for all teams, as well as weekend availability when needed to travel to matches and help cover for the head coach.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Travel team assistant coach must be committed to contributing towards a philosophy of building a successful, respected program with particular emphasis on academic priorities and the importance of good citizenship both on and off the field
- Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to achieve individual and team success.
- Establish a good working relationship with players, parents/ guardians to communicate the needs of participants to improve the skills.
- Weekly contact/instruction with academy/team families including what teams are working on, and any instructions for matches/tournaments
- Secondary point of contact between individual team, coach, and club for all league and practice matters
- Formulate and model moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence for all athletes.
- Collect, distribute, and maintain the athletic equipment during the season.
- Engage children with enthusiasm and good communication.
- Be patient when children are not as engaged as you would like and maintain friendly atmosphere
- Grow a passion and a love for soccer by delivering excellent training sessions.
- Comply with all DC Way Academy policies and regulations. Follow all of the established company rules and curriculum pertaining to programs.
- Commitment to coach team at all league and tournament matches, as well as all season academy practices (3-4 days a week)
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
