Our client is a new company that manufactures automotive batteries outside of Memphis, Tennessee, and they need a highly skilled IT Systems Architect. This professional will be responsible for shaping the manufacturing IT strategy, designing and implementing solutions that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency across the client’s enterprise-wide manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and manage end-to-end IT architecture for manufacturing plants, including IT-OT systems, security, shop floor connectivity, and enterprise integration
- Align manufacturing IT architecture with corporate IT strategy in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect
- Develop and maintain current and future state architecture documentation
- Lead digital manufacturing initiatives focused on IIoT, Industry 4.0, and AI/ML solutions
- Manage proof of concept projects, evaluating emerging technologies and vendors
- Translate business requirements into scalable architectural solutions in collaboration with senior leadership and SMEs
- Oversee cross-domain manufacturing IT initiatives, resolving inter-project architectural challenges
- Drive Manufacturing IT governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards
MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- 8 to 10 years of experience
- Proven experience with IT-OT integration, OT cybersecurity, and IIoT implementations
- Strong background in MES & ERP system integration
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
- Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and application modernization
- Working knowledge of EA tools (System Architect, Troux, or similar)
- Experience working with C-level executives, presenting technical solutions, and building business cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive consensus on architecture decisions
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and lead digital transformation efforts
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7 years of experience as an IT Manufacturing Systems Architect
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing IT systems
- 5 years implementing SCADA & PLC platforms

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
