The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is seeking an experienced Chief People Officer for its executive team and to lead the People Services Department.
General Description: The Chief People Officer (CPO) is a visionary leader and transformative partner, driving innovation and fostering a workplace where people thrive. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CPO plays a pivotal role in shaping DCAC’s culture, talent strategy, and overall mission to improve the lives of child abuse victims while advancing national leadership on child abuse issues.
This role goes beyond traditional HR - focusing on creativity, strategy, and inclusion to build a future-ready workforce. The CPO partners with executive leadership to deliver cutting-edge human capital solutions, ensuring alignment with DCAC’s strategic goals and values.

ABOUT DCAC: The mission of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues. DCAC is a non-profit organization and the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute, and provide healing services for child abuse cases in Dallas County.
We reduce the victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with our distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases, all at no cost to our clients. Each year, DCAC serves over 13,000 children and their non-offending family members.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic People Leadership
- Design and execute innovative human capital strategies that attract and retain exceptional talent.
- Build a dynamic organizational culture centered on collaboration, agility, and inclusivity.
- Partner with leadership to develop long-term workforce strategies aligned with DCAC’s mission and goals.
- Use data-driven insights to shape decision-making and identify opportunities for organizational growth.
2. Talent Development & Engagement
- Drive creative talent acquisition strategies, leveraging social platforms, analytics, and branding.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, offering cutting-edge training and leadership development.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in human resources or people operations, with a proven track record of driving innovation and cultural transformation.
Certifications:
- SPHR-CP or PHR-CP required.
