Job Summary
DCARA is seeking a Client Report Assistant that will be responsible for accurate data entry, compiling reports, and ensuring timely submissions of Client information. The ideal candidate focuses on entering client information, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with reporting requirements. The Client Report Assistant is fluent in American Sign Language since they will work frequently with internal departments to gather necessary data to support DCARA's mission to empower Deaf* clients with information, resources, and tools.
Essential Job Functions
Report Duties
- Collect, enter, manage, and maintain necessary client information to meet funder requirements, including
- Demographics
- Infographics
- Statistics
- Program progress
- Prepare concise reports to meet funder requirements in a timely manner: Monthly, Quarterly, Mid-Year & Year-End Reports
- Collaborate to gather client cases to ensure accuracy and completion of reports which includes frequent communication with:
- Employees
- Department Managers
- Deputy Director
- Executive Director
- Efficient communication methods including all electronic formats (emails, zoom chats, etc.) and in person with all employees using the following:
- Various levels of written English
- American Sign Language
- Other signed communication methods
- Review and cross-check client case entries for consistency and completeness
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Mandated report compilation prior to funders’ mid-year and end-year meetings for Executive purpose
Data Entry & Report Compilation
- Responsible for Report Compilation utilizing a centralized system including but not limited to:
- Statistical Information on Clients
- Progress on Funders’ Requirements
- Generate Infographics for all meetings but not limited to:
- Agency Annual Report
- Executive Director Meetings
- Fundraisers
- As others needed
Administrative Support
- Communicate using company videophone for internal and external interactions.
- Support the agency and community with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Deputy Director.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in data entry software Windows and Google Drive
- Knowledge of relevant current issues and laws protecting the rights of Deaf* individuals
- Experience and cultural competence working in the Deaf* community at large
- American Sign Language (ASL) communication independently with Deaf* employees and others as needed
- Ability to work with diverse people from different backgrounds, racial, economic, linguistic, cultural, religious, disability and communication backgrounds
Desired Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in client reporting or a related field
- Knowledge of social justice issues that affect the Deaf* communities.
- Experience with spreadsheets and report generation
