12 years of progressive general contracting site supervision experience of ground up commercial buildings over 5 million dollars.
Proven track record for organizing work, driving schedules, and leading subcontractors for ground up commercial construction.

The habit of anticipating ground up commercial construction issues and addressing them before they become problems.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions :
- Works with safety manager to ensure implementation of the safety program.
- Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team, including direct and indirect reports.
- Effectively communicates with own forces and trades and ensures that performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
- Consistently collaborates with construction / project manager and project team. Proactively manages potential problems, work interferences, and schedules conflicts / setbacks.
- Proactively identifies, manages, and resolves potential problems, work conflicts, and / or schedule challenges. Contributes to development and implementation of a recovery plan and works with the project team to anticipate and resolve issues.
- Liaises between project team to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
- Liaises with client, other site contractors, and site and office representatives.
- Absorbs and conveys vision of an entire project, identifies, and drives the project schedule’s critical path.
- Oversees and manages development and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP) and resource-loaded three-week lookahead schedules.
- Oversees and manages the project plan and schedule and ensures compliance with budget and quality.
- Reviews and understands the contract and subcontracts and develops a plan that identifies and mitigates risks and maximizes opportunities to ensure that all financial targets, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability levels are met.
- Works independently to oversee a start to finish approach to work order and task management.
- SPS has primary responsibility for keeping field activities on schedule. The SPS will anticipate, plan, lay-out, coordinate and drive subcontractor work to meet schedule milestones.
- Reviews Scope of work and develops Scope of Work for subcontractors.
- Writes RFIs when it is performed by the office management.
- Schedules and supervises work progress, communicating directly with everyone involved to coordinate every aspect of multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Performs Quality Control and Safety Inspections as needed, verifies subcontractor compliance with scopes of work and applicable specifications and regulations.
- Collects and submits subcontractor submittals for approval as required.
- Acts as a representative of dcb Construction in discussions with government officials and communicates government requirements to subcontractors.
- Determines end of the month billing for multiple subcontractors.
- Coordinates with Project Manager for task support as required.
- Schedules and manages on site construction and completion. Final job close-out, warranty issue and final billing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience :
Successfully supervised a construction workforce.
In-depth knowledge of and experience in construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating trade contractors with three-week lookahead schedules.
Observation of subcontractor productivity to direct adjustments in required subcontractor labor.
