Position Summary
The Analytics & Insights Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of data analytics and insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. They serve as a crucial bridge between the Data teams and the business stakeholders, ensuring that insights and reporting effectively meet the organization's strategic and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive organizational foundations for data analytics and Machine Learning solutions to deliver immediate business value.
- Build scalable, secure, and globally accessible data platforms enabling self-service analytics and insights.
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and Data Governance Manager to establish and enforce Data Quality standards to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Foster a data-driven culture, gaining buy-in from stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Maintain and support existing Machine Learning use cases as well as identify and implement high-impact use cases that leverage data and Machine Learning to solve business challenges.
- Align long-term data initiatives with strategic business goals.
- Successfully utilize cloud-based data platforms (Azure) and tools like MS Fabric, OneLake, Qlik, Power BI for centralized data management.
- Mentor and lead teams in Analytics, Machine Learning, and ultimately AI driving innovation and excellence.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to business users.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of data and reporting.
- Continuously optimize and enhance the analytics capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Governance teams to develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata to facilitate understanding and usage of the data.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing guidance and support on the effective use of data analytics.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive business improvements and competitive advantages.
- Foster a data-driven culture by promoting data literacy and self-service analytics capabilities within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a data analytics/insight, or data management role including at least 3 years of managing a data and analytics function.
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing Analytics solutions using tools including MS Fabric, QlikView, QlikSense, and Power BI.
- Experience in data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) would be useful.
- Exposure to agile project management methodologies and tools also helpful.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex business problems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
- Collaborative mindset and experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align data and analytics initiatives with business objectives.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to think critically, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights from complex datasets. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
