The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.


Position Summary: The Analytics Director is responsible for working with the Deputy ED in ensuring the Committee and targeted battleground campaigns have high-quality analytics that facilitate the goal of winning a Democratic Majority in the House of Representatives. They manage the day-to-day work of the analytics team staff members, including but not limited to all targeting, modeling, and polling projects for the Committee and battleground races. In addition, the individual will advise on any in-house data and engineering products as needed.


Responsibilities Include: 

  • Hiring and day-to-day management of the Analytics Department; 
  • Work closely with Deputy ED and outside partners and consultants to design and test messaging that builds winning coalitions in battleground districts; 
  • Work with the Deputy ED to ensure reports and presentations for battleground Members and candidates are concise and actionable;
  • Work with the Deputy ED to ensure the Committee and battleground races make data-grounded decisions to optimize paid media spends; 
  • Serve as thought partner and strategic collaborator with analytics departments of sister committees;
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Analytics team. 


Requirements

  • Extensive experience in campaign data and analytics; 
  • Proven ability to build and manage a team;
  • Working understanding of SQL, Phoenix, and the DNC database infrastructure;
  • Strong familiarity with the diverse roles of polling and modeling in campaign research and their role in strategic advising;
  • Experienced mentor to analysts working in a multidisciplinary campaign team environment; 
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team and collaborate with many strategic partners; 
  • Commitment to electing Democrats and reclaiming the House majority;
  • Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion;
