The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.
Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.
Position Summary:
The National Finance Coordinator supports the DCCC finance department with administrative support. They work with the National Finance Team and the various Regional Teams.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Finance Operations & Compliance Director and National Finance Director with day to day operations of the Finance Department;
- Develop and execute high level events, working closely with other stakeholders;
- Manages incoming and outgoing money for the Finance Department;
- Monitors and orders supplies for the office;
- Prepares event materials as necessary;
- Manages the coordination with outside vendors and consultants;
- Manages regular donor communication, engagement, and thank you process;
- Act as the liaison between national finance office and the regional finance teams;
- Provide key administrative and organizational support to the national finance team;
- Other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Finance team.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience with compliance, fundraising or event management on a campaign is preferred;
- Travel may be required for this position;
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and database software are essential;
- 1-2 years of experience with NGP VAN, EveryAction, and/or ActBlue a plus;
- Strong organizational and project management skills;
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once;
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives;
- Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels;
- Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.
