What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Family Social Worker position at DCCCA?
Position Overview:
- Makes regular home visits and reviews foster parent logs on foster children
- Assists in the process of recruiting and licensing new foster families
- Assists foster parents in accessing resources throughout the community to meet foster child needs
- Prepares monthly reports that document current behavior on each child in assigned homes
- Facilitates support meetings and other activities for foster families regularly
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field required
- Requires at least two years' experience working with children
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must pass pre-employment background checks, reference checks, drug screening, and fingerprinting
