Job Overview:

Estimator (Lighting Manufacturer/Distributor for New Construction)

You would be responsible for overall cost estimating our multifamily construction lighting quotes based on the use of construction plans and industry knowledge. If you are an energetic, self-starter with strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills, then you will also thrive in this role!

• The Project Estimator is responsible for evaluating lighting finish schedules, completing bids with the most accurate information, and ensuring that our customers are receiving the best proposal
• Reviews proposal specifications, RFI updates and customer feedback
• Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications
• Prepares estimates by working with our suppliers to ensure the best cost effective options
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Preferred/Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-year degree or higher
• Estimating or related experience a plus!
• Lighting and plumbing industry experience is a plus
• Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office software and On Screen Takeoff (OST) a plus
• Possesses analytical and organizing skills
• Familiar with standard symbols, concepts, practices, and procedures in plans
• A self-motivator, eager to learn and grow a fast learner
• A team player that must be able to work with people
• Attention to details and goal of perfectionism
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent follow-ups skills
• Excellent and professional verbal communication, written and presentation skills
• Professional presentation written and in person
• Willing to work overtime when necessary
