Position Overview
DCG is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer to support reviewing, updating, and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidance materials for the Treasury Department's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. The selected candidate will evaluate existing SOPs and guidance materials, identify gaps, and collaborate with business units to ensure accurate, clear, and up-to-date procedural documentation.
Location
Fully Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG's core Eastern Standard Time business hours.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate Existing SOPs : Review current SOPs and user guides to determine relevance, accuracy, and opportunities for efficiency
- Develop & Update SOPs : Work with program and business units to draft, revise, and refine SOPs that effectively communicate policies and procedures
- Ensure Compliance & Clarity : Ensure that all SOPs align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices while maintaining clarity for end-users
- Collaborate with Stakeholders : Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) and program leads to gather accurate procedural details and validate content
- Maintain Documentation Standards : Follow standardized formats and templates to ensure consistency and readability across all SOPs
- Version Control & Process Improvement : Track document revisions, maintain version control and recommend improvements for SOP management processes.
