What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Pgy1 Resident position at DCH Health System?
Overview
The pharmacy resident shall be responsible for compounding and dispensing of medication and pharmaceutical supplies to inpatients and outpatients of all ages upon receiving oral or written medication orders from physicians. In addition, the staff pharmacist shall supply drug information and other clinical services to patients and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications
Pharm.D. or B.S. Degree in pharmacy. Must be currently licensed or license eligible to practice pharmacy in the State of Alabama as a pharmacist or pharmacist intern/extern. Participation in professional organizations is strongly encouraged. Must be able to operate computer, calculator, telephone, prescription balance and other related pharmaceutical balance, and other related pharmaceutical equipment. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
