Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical Telemetry for a 13-week contract at John H Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of acute care experience and be proficient in telemetry monitoring and caring for a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to med-surg telemetry patients in an acute care setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, reporting abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, IVs, and manage care plans for patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
- Active BLS certification.
- Valid RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Availability to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts).
