The Role

We’re hiring an experienced Client Accounting Manager to lead a portfolio of 20 client accounts. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Capitola with some hybrid flexibility after training. You'll own the monthly accounting cycle, lead client communications, and support strategic decision-making through clean financials and proactive cash flow insights.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in the client accounting space—monthly closes, forecasting, reporting, and process management. You must be adaptive, outgoing, resourceful and hungry for growth.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You...

• Have 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or client advisory services (CAS).
• Are confident managing 10 clients with varying complexity.
• Have strong experience with monthly closes, cash flow planning, and management reporting.
• Know your way around cloud-based tools like QBO, Gusto, Monday.com, GSuite.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with business owners and client teams.
• Enjoy being part of a collaborative team in a creative, growth-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Own and manage a portfolio of 10 client accounts across various industries.
• Oversee full monthly close processes—bank recs, accruals, adjustments, and review.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, KPIs, and cash flow forecasts.
• Serve as controller for various clients
• Lead recurring client meetings and act as the main point of contact.
• Train and review the work of staff accountants and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work closely with the firm’s leadership to improve workflows and client experience.
