What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Transplant Coordinator position at DCI Donor Services?
Key Responsibilities
- Surgically recover abdominal organs for transplantation and research in donor hospitals.
- Assume on-call responsibilities to ensure adequate coverage for donor activity.
- Support compliance with CMS and UNOS regulations and AOPO standards.
- Provide education and training to OPO staff and hospital personnel involved in the donation process.
In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have a medical degree, board certification in general surgery, and at least 5 years of experience in organ recovery and transplantation or critical care.
