What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Project Engineer position at DCI Engineers?
Responsibilities of a Civil Engineer:
Perform site development design for grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control, and road design, including profile layouts
Collaborate with the engineering team to coordinate design details and construction document requirements
Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work
Attend design meetings, as directed by the project manager
Review submittals, prepare technical reports and routine conveyance calculations, and write observation reports
Requirements for a Civil Engineer:
Minimum of 1 year of civil engineering experience
Grading, storm water management, and utility design experience
Experience with storm water modeling and technical information reports
Ability to manage your time, juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships
Effective communication skills
Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university required
