Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and other equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Operate welding equipment and other hand tools for repairs and fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all industry safety practices, including fall protection, lock-out tag-out, and hot-works.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Maintain an inventory of parts and lubricants.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proven experience in sawmill maintenance or industrial maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Knowledge of sawmill equipment and processes.
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and using hand tools.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
