JOB SUMMARY: The facilities Technician under moderate supervision, will support the Facilities Team with all repairs, trouble-shooting equipment, maintain preventative maintenance on the equipment in the facility, physical structures, building and grounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on all machines using appropriate electronic and mechanical tools.
- Fix or solve any issue/problem found on all machines from preventative maintenance functions.
- Check, repair, replace, and perform preventative maintenance on drives, loaders, and PC boards with appropriate electronic tools.
- Perform analysis of bad disks and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain parts inventory.
- Provide CD Assembly support.
- Responsible for requisition of tools, equipment and supplies.
- Perform basic office equipment troubleshooting.
- Order, maintain and ensure all protective equipment and clothing articles are in their proper places.
- Continually seek out ways to improve quality of service.
- Adhere to 5S Standards.
- Maintain compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
- Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 75 lbs. at a time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, squat, crawl, or lay in positions to adjust, repair and/or restore equipment for long periods.
- Must be self-directed and a self-starter, with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Must possess good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Ability to move racks of materials of up to 300 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment where temperature is affected by weather conditions.
- Ability to operate machinery a safe manner, following all safety/OSHA procedures.
- Must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and able to do repetitive hand motions.
- Flexible to working different schedules, OT, and weekends as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least two (2) years of related work experience in a distribution/warehouse facilities/maintenance environment.
- At lease two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience.
- At least two (2) years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- MHE – electric pallet jack and sit-down forklift experienced is a plus.
- Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish) is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
