As a Technical Project Manager at DCLI, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex IT projects. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business teams, and vendors, to drive the successful implementation of strategic IT initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- Develop detailed and comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, and track progress against key milestones
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and quality assurance, to drive project execution and resolve technical challenges
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within the project team, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing
- Act as the primary liaison between the DCLI project team and vendors to ensure alignment on requirements, project deliverables, and timeline
- Continuously assess and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Serve as an active member on the Capitalized Labor Committee by assisting with business case development and IT project prioritization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
- Proven 5 years of experience in managing technical projects in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on software development or IT infrastructure, from initiation to closure
- Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements
- Robust leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana and JIRA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
- Experience working in the transportation industry is a plus
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
