Sales Analyst

The Sales Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the sales and reporting operations of the company. This position will focus on analyzing sales performance, optimizing pricing and promotional strategies, and producing reports that highlight opportunities to increase sales. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of market intelligence experience, sales finance acumen and analytical expertise. Cannabis experience is not required.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data from wholesale and retail channels to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Revenue Forecasting: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and update revenue forecasts, incorporating market dynamics and historical performance.
  • Pricing Strategy: Evaluate pricing structures and promotional activities to ensure alignment with sales goals and market competitiveness.
  • Margin Optimization: Monitor gross margins by product and channel, recommending strategies to improve profitability.
  • Data Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales growth, market share, pipeline growth, quota attainment. Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and external intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommend revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Budget Management: Support the preparation of sales budgets and variance analysis, ensuring financial discipline across departments.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed on cannabis industry trends, pricing strategies, and regulatory changes to guide decision-making based on external sources, to include BDSA and Pistil.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Royalty/Reporting Calculations: Perform royalty calculations and other reporting related to third-party partners.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant certification preferred but not required.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years in an accounting/finance environment, with increasing responsibilities.
  • We ask that you have strong proficiency in Excel, data manipulation, margin modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • We prefer that you are proficient in ERP systems (e.g. Acumatica) and CRM platforms.
  • We ask that you have excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.
