Sales Representative
As a Wholesale Sales Representative for District Cannabis, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dispensaries to drive the wholesale business sales. You will identify new business opportunities, negotiate on promotions and deals, and ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service and product knowledge. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, market trends, and regulatory compliance to effectively support clients and maximize sales. Success in this position will be measured by revenue growth, account retention, and the expansion of District Cannabis' presence in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. markets.
Your role in caring for our company:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with community partners and build strategic local relationships to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to dispensaries
- Develop relationships with prospective clients through cold calling, email, social media, and networking events
- Negotiate sales price points and contracts
- Meet & exceed personal sales volume and KPI goals
- Conducts research, surveys, personal investigation and studies market place and territory in order to effectively capitalize on the company's strengths
- Drive repeat business through strong local networking and customer data capture, patient confidence inspiration, and building of patient loyalty
- Analyze territory/market potential and keep up with cannabis regulations in your specific territory
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
- Understand and adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies & procedures
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report regularly and as requested on the status of accounts and transactions
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Manage, lead, and partner with their Brand Ambassador regarding events, brand awareness, and other opportunities to promote our products
- Provide independent analysis of represented customers to sales and marketing team members based on market findings and gaps.

Qualifications we ask you to have:
- For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
- You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check
- We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
- We ask that you have at least two (2) years of sales experience, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Willingness to be in market and travel between DC and Maryland District Cannabis and Partner sites
