Role-Lead Systems Architect e-MPIRE Tax Imaging

Daily tasks will include:
The candidate will assist in maintaining and modernizing our e-MPIRE imaging platforms. This system is responsible for processing different programs that bring in billions of dollars in revenue for local governments and New York State. Its solution allows New York State to facilitate better decision-making, provide increased productivity for employees, improve public access, and reduce the risk of falling victim to outdated technology.
The candidate will be part of the imaging team that is responsible for developing the shared services and development code generators that are used by all Department of Tax and Finance Applications which are responsible for bringing in significant revenue to the state of New York.
The candidate must be experienced in multi-tier architecture design and implementations with the ability to participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing, and production support).
The candidate will be assisting with DTF modernization and in finding alternative options/solutions for existing e-MPIRE imaging systems such as Content Manager OnDemand.
The candidate will assist in various technologies such as AIX Shell Scripting and DB2 on UNIX platform and perform Root Cause Analysis using quality tools.
The candidate will also assist with Change Management: prepare an Implementation plan, backout and test plan for various changes, and risk and impact analysis for those changes.
Systems Architect: e-MPIRE Tax Imaging System project
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
1. 84 months experience with government organization which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complete Business-Related Processing
2. 84 months of experience in UNIX and AIX OS with usage of Shell Scripting and CRON TAB.
3. 48 months of experience of IBM Content Manager On Demand application including IBM Content Manager OnDemand Administrator and Client
4. 84 months of experience in performance tuning applications interacting with DB2 Databases.
