Job Summary

The job is challenging and not for everyone!

This type of work will require you to work inside customers’ homes and outside in all types of weather conditions and environmental challenges

You must be able to manage yourself and your work throughout the day.

You must be able to work through time constraints while you focus on providing quality work and customer service.

Being able to adjust to different customer types and expectations is as important as the focus on the physical work.

You might experience an easy-going customer at your first install while being confronted with a frustrated individual at your next appointment.

As a technician you must keep up with new technologies, the next level of Know-How. You will be using techy tools daily.

DCOMM will provide a work vehicle or gives you an option to utilize your own if it meets the companies criteria.

For all our entry technicians one personal challenge to overcome is the use of the 28-foot ladder.

OUR COMMITMENT

  • We provide paid professional training in a classroom as well as a field environment set up.
  • You will be issued a company vehicle and the tools to do the job to the best of your abilities.
  • All our new team members will be Defensive Driving certified.
  • Different types of customer interactions will be introduced through role play.

Training

  • Paid classroom and on the job training
  • We are talking power tools, cable and telecom equipment, meters and apps, computers and software, pole and ladder skills and safety, and more

SCHEDULE

  • The ability to work overtime, weekends, second shift or participate in an on-call rotation when scheduled

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, install and service our client’s products in customers’ homes and small businesses
  • Verify that the premise wiring & services meet all company installation & service specifications for residential & small business customers
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer

Experience

  • Provide exceptional service to customers as well as their technical representatives
  • Pre-call customers to remind them about their appointment and acquire job

specific last-minute job information.

  • Instills knowledge of all client’s company products and services
  • Maintains records and documents in accordance with company (Client &

DCOMM) policies and procedures

  • Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
  • Knows, understands, and follows company policy
  • Performs other duties as requested by management

Required

  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • Valid driver license with satisfactory driving record within company required standards
  • This is a physical job and requires the ability to move over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather while carrying tools and equipment or Operate weight-bearing equipment, such as gaffs, safety harnesses, extension ladders (that can weigh up to 90 pounds and extend 32 feet), and carry fully loaded tool belts.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent related work experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All weather conditions, possibly for extended periods of time
  • In residences, potentially in poorly ventilated areas such as attics, basements and/or crawlspaces where there may be dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, and cleaning solutions
