Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Asphalt Laborer for our seasonal team. In this role, you will support our asphalt milling, paving, and patching operations by assisting with equipment setup, operation, and site maintenance. Working as part of a dedicated team, youll follow the daily direction of our foreman and superintendent to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Asphalt Milling & Paving Support:
- Assist with asphalt milling, paving, and patching operations.
- Use equipment such as the asphalt rake to prepare surfaces.
- Equipment Assistance:
- Help with the operation and movement of equipment around the site.
- Run the asphalt roller, backpack blower, and assist with paver or mill machine operations as directed.
- Site Maintenance:
- Perform cleaning and detailing duties at job sites to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively as part of a team, taking daily instructions from the foreman and superintendent.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Capability:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience:
- No prior experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
- Certifications:
- No certifications required.
- Work Ethic & Team Spirit:
- Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to follow detailed instructions and contribute positively to a team-oriented atmosphere.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule:
- Monday through Saturday, typically 50-60 hours per week.
- Compensation:
- Starting pay is $25 per hour.
- Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal position running from early April to early December.
