We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator Intern to join our team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in estimating construction projects, preparing bids, and working closely with our project management team. You will receive training to ensure you are well-prepared for your responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Participate in site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
- Support the project management team in tracking project costs and budgets.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid drivers license.
