Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing team in Sandy, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks Online, bookkeeping, and benefits administration for organizations with 60 employees. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws, managing employee benefits including Paid Leave Oregon, and assisting in payroll support through QuickBooks Online.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in full-cycle HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee relations
Administer and manage company benefits including Paid Leave Oregon, health insurance, PTO tracking, and retirement plans
Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with legal requirements
Collaborate with management to address employee concerns, investigations, complaints and performance matters
Assist in payroll processing and time-off tracking using QuickBooks Online
Reconcile accounts and maintain bookkeeping records
Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and new hire paperwork
Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations
Assist with audits, reporting, and annual HR filings
Provide HR support and guidance to a team of 60 employees
Qualifications:
3 years of HR management or HR generalist experience
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
Solid background in bookkeeping and payroll administration
Experience with Paid Leave Oregon and other Oregon-specific benefit programs
Familiarity with ACA compliance, FMLA, and other employment regulations
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
Previous experience in a nonprofit or caregiving agency setting
