Client: US Army via Team DDB
TeamDDB is an integrated agency team composed of 8 Omnicom agencies and one outside research agency (i.e. Fors Marsh Group). TeamDDB is exclusively dedicated to servicing the US Army's Recruitment Mission. DDB is the prime agency, positioning it as the leader and chief integrator of the group. TeamDDB is approximately 250 people strong, headquartered in Chicago but with local teams across the country and a few agency specialists in Washington DC and Houston.
The US Army account is composed of Task Orders (TOs) ranging from Creative Development and Production (CD&P) to Research, to Media, to Data & Data Infrastructure (D&DI), Innovation, and beyond. On average there are 12-16 TOs active at a time.
Government and/or military experience is not required, but interest in both is very much expected.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationships to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
- Immerses self in client's business and not only champions stellar, business-building ideas but knows how to effectively collaborate to bring those ideas to life
- Establishes effective balance of advisory and advocacy skills with clients and team
- Identifies opportunities to help grow direct reports and advance them to the next level
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients' needs
- Develop and drive proactive plans, strategies and client recommendations
- Manage a wide range of competing priorities while ensuring the team meets all its deadlines and manages projects within prescribed budgets
- internal discussions and meetings.
- Not afraid to seek advice and help from supervisor or team when needed.
- A problem solver who can use facts and ideas as it relates to the creative development process.
- Organized and disciplined to move projects from kickoff to delivery, keeping stakeholders informed and consulted
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant industry experience at a creative agency
- Must have experience building and growing tight relationships with clients and agency partners. Relationships are the key currency in this role.
- Production experience (digital, social, broadcast) and possesses an integrated background
- Has charisma, a positive attitude, adaptability and the ability to multi-task
- Must be pro-active and comfortable both managing up and reaching down
- Demonstrates effective communication and creative problem-solving skills
- Has excellent oral, written, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Comfort in data/analytics a plus, but not required
- Enthusiastic about businesses beyond traditional marketing aspects
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and with internally and externally to problem solve
- Understands creative that must solve for a business need vs just "cool" idea
- Sees the big picture and has the vision to drive big ideas
- Has earned a bachelor's degree
- Experience in agile development and/or design sprint methodologies is a plus, but not required
- Ability to identify & understand potential risks to the completion of a workflow, and be able to work with the team to recommend solutions
