Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Embedded Security Architect to join our team. As an Embedded Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security solutions for our embedded systems. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure that our products and solutions meet the highest standards of security. If you have a strong background in embedded systems, cryptography, and security best practices, along with a passion for securing embedded devices, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
– Define the security architecture and strategy for our embedded systems and products.
– Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.
– Design and implement secure boot mechanisms, authentication protocols, and encryption algorithms for embedded systems.
– Develop and maintain security policies, guidelines, and standards for embedded system development.
– Collaborate with software developers and board manufacturer support to ensure security features are integrated into the design and implementation.
– Perform security code reviews and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
– Implement secure communication protocols for data transmission and device-to-device communication.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and best practices in embedded systems security.
– Provide guidance and training to the engineering teams on secure coding practices and security-related topics.
– Work closely with customers and partners to understand their security requirements and provide customized security solutions.
Location: Anywhere in the contiguous 48 states (DDC-I supports a distributed workforce)
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience as an Embedded Security Architect or in a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of embedded systems architecture, including microcontrollers, SoCs, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
– Deep understanding of cryptography principles, algorithms, and protocols.
– Experience with secure boot mechanisms, secure storage, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
– Proficiency in secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment tools.
– Familiarity with common security standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, and Common Criteria.
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
