What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at DDI Vantage?
DDI Vantage is a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with special needs. We have an opening for a part-time (19-hours/week) Speech Language Pathologist to support families in the Salt Lake valley.
In this position, you will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to perform evaluations and assessments and provide home-based individual services to infants and toddlers with special needs and their families. Job duties include:
- Conducts developmental, speech/language, and eating/swallowing evaluations to assist in
determining program eligibility, and helps complete Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). - Conducts developmental, speech/language, and eating/swallowing assessments of infants and
toddlers enrolled in DDI VANTAGE; and evaluates program and progress with criterion- and
norm-referenced instruments. - Provides direct individual and group diagnostic intervention and treatment to enhance the child’s
speech/language development, and facilitates parents and caregivers in implementing a home
program to achieve the desired outcomes. - Provides speech/language and eating/swallowing consultation to parents, caregivers and staff to
assist in home- and center-based intervention. - Assists parents and caregivers in their role as a child advocate when appropriate.
We will provide training in early intervention to the right candidate.
This job requires a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Speech and Language Pathology, Utah state licensure, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or commencement of Clinical Fellowship Year.
