Main role
To operate the ink kitchen mixing system and own the process for the supply and return of polymer ink to press whilst managing the control of colour, ensuring that standards and specifications are adhered to at all times.
- Full ownership of the ink mixing system and colour control process adhering to SOP’s and the requirements set out in standards and specifications
- Responsibility for colour matching of ink in accordance to the specification
- Proactively manage the asset care of equipment within the ink mixing and colour control areas
- Carry out stocktaking in relation to the ink mixing area on a daily/monthly basis
- Support machine set-up’s and clean-downs in line with production requirements
- Ensure mixed ink is supplied press ready in line with production targets
- Be the primary contact for the mixing of polymer ink for press
Key qualifications, skills and experience required
Basic IT skills and good computer literacy
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Physically fit with good manual handling skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of production/technical processes and procedures with respect to SQCDP
Other requirements
Good organising and planning skills; controlling quality and working to standard operating procedures
Ability to show flexibility
Good team-working
