Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in roadway projects and the ability to effectively coordinate various aspects of the construction site. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to facilitate contract negotiations and execution.
- Review project plans and FDOT standards.
- Implement effective communication strategies among team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor work quality and safety standards on-site, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports and documentation through Prolog or similar construction management software.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of roadway construction processes and best practices.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
