The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent consultative sales skills, and the ability to grow existing accounts while capturing new business from competitors. This role requires being in front of customers, distributors, channel partners, and engineering firms across the US, necessitating frequent travel to provide technical support, configure gas feed equipment, and solve problems efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales and Business Development:
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth in Chlorine Gas Disinfection products.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand competitive landscape.
Technical Support and Problem Solving:
• Provide on-site technical support to customers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of gas feed equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to address customer needs and improve product offerings.
• Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase product capabilities and benefits.
Account Management:
• Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
• Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Consultative Sales Approach:
• Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
• Leverage DISC behavioral principles to adapt sales strategies to different customer personalities and buying styles.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive sales environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
• Excellent consultative sales skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites across the region.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in water treatment or disinfection products.
Strong understanding of chlorine gas disinfection systems and gas feed equipment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification in project management or technical sales, preferred.
Experience working with competitors such as Xylem Wallace and Tiernan, Hydro Instruments, or Superior Water Solutions, preferred.
