Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic is seeking experienced RN Manager to join our Emergency Room team! Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs/wk, day shift A professional nurse, who plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the daily activities within the department of nursing. This individual provides for a therapeutic environment and that nursing care is provided according to nursing practice standards and guidelines. The manager participates on various hospital committees and creates an environment for professional growth and development to enhance staff performance and maintain a high level of staff morale. In the absence of the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the manager may be delegated authority to act on her behalf. Responsibilities include: Assessing staff competencies according to nursing practice standards and patient care needs. Designing, delivering, facilitating and coordinating staff education to assigned staff. In coordination with Nursing Education, the ED Nurse Manager develops and maintains portfolios of staff education needs, competencies and accomplishments; provide relevant staff education need/accomplishments to clinical leaders. Designs and implements relevant quality and performance improvement initiatives; provides appropriate reports. Facilitate engagements with schools of nursing. Minimum Qualifications: BSN required; Masters in Nursing preferred Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware, Compact State or valid temporary permit. BLS, ACLS and PALS required TNCC and ENPC preferred Minimum of five years' experience in direct patient care in an acute care setting; ED preferred Five to seven years increasingly progressive Nursing management experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
