Job Title: Activities Director – Middle School
FLSA Status: _X_ Exempt ___ Non-Exempt _X_ Part-time
Job Summary:
In the spirit of Cura Personalis, the Activities Director strives to creatively bolster the student life
experience in a manner that supports overall student formation. The Activities Director oversees the
successful execution of student-led charitable and community outreach efforts as well as student-oriented
school spirit activities and middle school athletics. This office moderates student government and
provides leadership opportunities for students. The Activities Director upholds the standards of an
Ignatian school, actively participates in the spiritual mission of the school, and maintains a positive and
regular presence at athletic and co-curricular activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Facilitate co-curricular student events and activities.
- Oversee all aspects of student-led charitable events and community outreach efforts
- Organize details and logistics that support student-oriented nonacademic activities including dances
and mixers, and Mission Week
- Empower and support student clubs and organizations.
- Collaborate with Campus Ministry, Athletics, Service, and Admissions to unify student formation
efforts.
- Foster relationships with student body, student and adult leaders, class and club moderators, as well
as partner agencies to ensure successful execution of events.
Provide opportunities for students to develop as a leader.
- Facilitate opportunities for student leadership development.
- Advocate for the student body relative to their co-curricular experience.
- Moderate Middle School Student Government.
Promote mission-centeredness.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership to evaluate and build the Ignatian character, mission, and
identity of the school.
- Incorporate Ignatian spirituality and pedagogy into professional life and foster Ignatian principles
among the faculty and student body.
- Promote personal growth and emphasize the value of stewardship among the faculty and student
body.
- Provide an administrative presence at athletic, co-curricular, and mission-oriented activities such as
retreats and service trips.
- Actively participate in the Catholic mission and life of the school, using the Gospels as guide.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education or academic field
- Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience and oversight of extracurricular activities
- Highly organized work ethic and flexible availability to coordinate activities outside of normal school
hours
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Understanding of and commitment to the spirit and mission of Jesuit education
- Practicing Catholic, committed to Catholic orthodoxy
